Modern communication = communication nightmare

In an age when the advancements in technology are supposed to make life simpler (which many do) I can’t help but think that one thing, communication, has become harder in many respects.

There are just too many ways to contact people, which method do I use?

If I took an example of one contact of mine the methods I could use to contact them are:

  1. Mobile phone or video call
  2. Home phone call
  3. Text or multimedia message
  4. What’s app
  5. Personal email
  6. Work email
  7. Twitter (tweet or direct message)
  8. Facebook (wall post or message)
  9. Google+
  10. Linkedin
  11. Skype
  12. Post (a little archaic I know)

I am sure many of you may have even more.

Of course calling them on the phone is often the best solution but depending upon what the reason and time for the contact, it may not be appropriate.

A quick tweet may lead into a long conversation better had by email or phone so we move onto another communication method.

Buy quite honestly I want to contact someone and have to think which is the ‘best’ way to contact them.

So which do you turn to most often and why?

If I had £250k & a death wish

There are many Iron Man lovers out there, most of which are probably men like me wishing they had such a cool suit.

Well if you have a casual £250,000 and a fitness level that will allow you to pass the test put in place by the manufacturer, you can obtain this made to measure steel and carbon Iron Man suit.

You get hand mounted stabilisation and manoeuvring jests and thigh mounted flare deployment system all of which is powered by a 1000 watt lithium battery positioned in the middle of the suits chest piece.

Who else wants one…BUY NOW @firebox.

P.S.  It appears no customer has yet left a review.  I guess either no one has splashed out, or those that did didn’t pass the fitness test, or they have not lived to tell the tale or maybe they cant put the suit down!!

Storm Slim-X XL

As I have mentioned in a previous post of late, I have had a bit of a thing for watches. It is not about spending a fortune, but I do believe it has to look different to something that I already own.

A few weeks ago my Dad showed me his new watch, it was a Storm Slim-X XL. I loved it from the moment I saw it.  It was so slim and contoured to the wrist really well.

I have always liked Storm watches, in fact it was their watches that seemed to get me liking the idea of owning multiple timepieces.

So I today ordered myself one.  It was a tough choice in the colours, but I went with the Slate colour.  I am really tempted to actually buy it in Laser Blue too!

I will be sure to post a few pictures when it arrives.

Oven Pride–The BEST oven cleaner

Oven PrideYes, I know this is by no means an exciting blog post but it is a very simple and informative one.

Quite simply put Over Pride s(www.ovenpride.com) is without the most simple and effective oven cleaner I have ever used and it costs about the same as a pint of beer.

It gained the Which Best Buy and I can completely see why.

Best Buy Which?

In short, pop the oven racks into the provided bag with half the cleaner an leave overnight (much more effective overnight).

Apply the remaining cleaner to the interior of the oven and leave overnight too.

The next day, rinse/wipe off and job done.

One of the best cleaning products I have ever used!
